YMCA Membership
A Great Investment
The YMCA is a membership-based organization. Therefore, membership is required and offered in a variety of categories. More importantly, the YMCA of Pomona Valley is a non-profit association open to all people regardless of age, ethnicity, gender or religion. We pledge that, subject to available resources, no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay a fee.
At the YMCA of Pomona Valley, you and your family can join us and swim, jog, exercise, play racquetball, lift weights, take saunas and whirlpools, and enjoy dozen of other exciting physical activities. And we have more to offer, including: childcare, youth sports and teen leadership programs. Our programs are designed to bring siblings closer together, build new relationships, strengthen family bonds, and lead to a healthier lifestyle.
Additionally, all members of the YMCA are automatically enrolled in the A.W.A.Y. (Always Welcome at YMCA) program. When you travel and want to workout or use the services at a YMCA in another city, you may do so on a short-term basis by showing your YMCA (A.W.A.Y.) membership card
The YMCA is a place for you and your family to experience and welcome an active lifestyle. We offer something for the whole family. This information will help you to get to know your YMCA and all it has to offer. The YMCA is a youth, adult and family non-profit, volunteer-driven organization offering a wide variety of programs and activities for YMCA members and the community. We hope that your relationship with us is as meaningful to you and your family as it is to us.

Membership Information
No contracts are required at the YMCA. The purpose of YMCA membership is to involve individuals and families of all backgrounds and abilities in the YMCA so that they can grow healthier.
Guest Fees: One of the best ways to gain new members is introduction to our facility through our current members. Guests must be accompanied by a member. * The guest must fill out a guest card and provide a photo ID. Any individual may come as a guest three times. Guest pass policy may be suspended at times due to heavy facility use by members.
Facility Access
Everyone is welcome at the YMCA. To enhance facility security, all members accessing the facility need to check in with a Member Service staff and swipe their cards in our scanners. If you lose your card, a new card may be purchased for a $5.00 fee. A non-member using the YMCA is required to register as a guest and present a photo ID prior to accessing the facility.
Membership Cancellations
You may cancel your YMCA membership at any time with a written 30-day notice. Ask at the Member Service desk for a membership cancellation form. Complete the form and submit with supporting documentation, which clearly indicates the reason for the cancellation.
Member Code of Conduct
Using the principles of Honesty, Responsibility, Caring and Respect as a guide, we have implemented the following Code of Conduct to ensure that all who participate with the Y enjoy a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment.
We ask individuals to act in a manner that upholds these principles at all times when they are in our facility or participating in our programs. We expect those using the YMCA to behave in a way that shows respect and caring for others, which includes not using any language or engaging in any action that can hurt or frighten another person or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct. Specifically, actions not adhering to these guidelines and are not permitted include:
•Wearing inappropriate attire. Attire must be appropriate, including swimsuits only in the pool area, and shoes, shorts and shirts or leotard in other areas of the facility. Clothing with vulgar or profane writing or language is not allowed. It is strongly recommended that “eye guards” be worn during racquetball.
• Using angry or vulgar language including swearing, name-calling or shouting.
•Making physical contact with a person in any angry or threatening way.
•Engaging in sexual activity or contact with another person.
•Harassing or intimidating by words, gestures, body language or any other menacing behavior.
•Stealing or other behavior, which results in the destruction of property.
•Carrying or concealing any weapons devices or objects which may be used as a weapon.
• Using or possessing illegal chemicals or alcohol on YMCA property or in YMCA vehicles.
•Smoking. All YMCA facilities offer a smoke-free environment for those who use them.
Any other conduct of an inappropriate, threatening or offensive nature.
Members and guests are encouraged to be responsible for their personal comfort and safety, and to ask any person whose behavior threatens their comfort to refrain from doing so.
